Buonanotte a tutti e a tutte, comunico con grande dolore in questo articolo la morte pacifica nel sonno a 76 anni dell’attore americano Carl Weathers, divenuto famoso soprattutto per le sue ottime interpretazioni in Rocky II, III e IV (1979-1982-1985) nei panni di Apollo Creed con Sylvester Stallone e nei panni di Dillon nel film Predator con Arnold Schwarzenegger (1987), recitando anche con Adam Sandler nel film Un tipo imprevedibile 1996.
Carl è stato da giovane un ottimo atleta della NFL o Football americano in cui si distinse come un atleta fisico, possente che faceva della potenza e della preponderanza fisica le sue armi sportive migliori, ma prima del grande atleta che in pochi hanno conosciuto al di fuori degli USA, era un grande uomo dal cuore d’oro e dal senso dell’empatia veramente fuori dal comune, amato per il suo modo di porsi alla gente che non si lasciava mai ingannare. Weathers è entrato nell’immaginario collettivo mondiale grazie a Rocky recitando accanto al suo amico di sempre, Sylvester Stallone che lo ha ricordato in un video struggente dove ha ricordato che “non avrebbe potuto fare il film senza di lui”.
