ll senatore Bernie Sanders intende boicottare il discorso al Congresso del premier israeliano Benjamin Netanyahu.

“E’ un criminale di guerra che non doveva essere invitato in Congresso. Io sicuramente non ci sarò”, ha detto Sanders definendo un “giorno triste per l’America” l’invito a Netanyahu.
Ribadendo che Israele ha il diritto di difendersi, Sanders critica aspramente l’operazione a Gaza. “Israele non ha il diritto di uccidere più di 34.000 civili e ferirne più di 80.000. Non ha il diritto di lasciare 19.000 bambini orfani, di annientare il sistema sanitario di Gaza, di bombardare scuole e università e di negare a 625.000 bambini di Gaza l’occasione di un’istruzione”, ha messo in evidenza Sanders.

Senator Bernie Sanders intends to boycott Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu‘s speech to Congress.

“He’s a war criminal who shouldn’t have been invited to Congress. I definitely won’t be there,” Sanders said, calling Netanyahu’s invitation a “sad day for America.”
Reiterating that Israel has the right to defend itself, Sanders harshly criticizes the operation in Gaza. “Israel has no right to kill more than 34,000 civilians and injure more than 80,000. It has no right to leave 19,000 children orphaned, to destroy Gaza’s health system, to bomb schools and universities, and to deny 625,000 Gazan children ‘opportunity for an education,’ Sanders highlighted.
