Chi era Andreas Brehme
Brehme, nato ad Amburgo, ha giocato tre Coppe del Mondo, perdendo la finale del 1986 a Città del Messico contro l’Argentina e fu autore del gol della vittoria della Germania nella finale dei Mondiali del 1990. Il suo momento migliore da giocatore di club è arrivato all’Inter, dove ha vinto la Serie A nel 1989 e la Coppa Uefa nel 1991. Ha vinto la Bundesliga con Bayern Monaco e Kaiserslautern. Tragedia nel mondo calcistico di periferia. Lorenzo Sabatini è morto nei giorni scorsi a seguito di un arresto cardiaco, improvviso, mentre si trovava nell’abitazione dei nonni che è nella frazione di Cerreto Guidi. Sabatini, classe 2003, era molto conosciuto nella zona di San Baronto e Lamporecchio per il suo percorso calcistico, soprattutto con la maglia biancazzurra della Lampo.
I funerali si svolgeranno oggi alle 16 alla chiesa parrocchiale di Stabbia. Proprio a Stabbia, che Lorenzo amava molto, che sentiva come luogo cui appartenere e che oggi si stringerà attorno alla famiglia che è di San Baronto, nel Pistoiese. Lorenzo si era diplomato a Firenze in amministrazione finanziaria e marketing. Dopo il titolo, era diventato amministratore operativo dell’azienda di famiglia nel settore delle ristrutturazioni civili e industriali, con un sistema di copertura tetto brevettato. L’azienda è la Coprimax Italia, molto nota e apprezzata sul territorio. Lorenzo, inoltre, era un trequartista di grande talento.
Da piccolo era cresciuto nella scuola calcio del Montalbano e da qualche anno giocava da protagonista nella Lampo, tra juniores e prima squadra. Non per niente la scorsa estate era arrivata una prestigiosa chiamata dal Montespertoli in Eccellenza. Un ragazzo bravo, sensibile, benvoluto: ed è proprio per questo che la famiglia stessa ha voluto dare pubblicamente notizia della tragedia che si è consumata il 16 Febbraio.
La rabbia del papà
«È stato un arresto cardiaco, imponente, irreversibile, gravissimo – ha spiegato ieri il padre Massimiliano Sabatini a La Nazione – e a nulla sono valse le cure tempestive e assai qualificate dei sanitari accorsi, a cui va il nostro più sincero ringraziamento. Notiamo, con amarezza, che questi casi di morte per malore improvviso sono divenuti molto frequenti, troppo».
Il padre stesso afferma che, già atleta professionista di discreto livello, ha avuto una miocardite importante, due anni fa, che avrebbe potuto essere molto pericolosa: miocardite che è stata bloccata e tamponata da un’idonea terapia. «Mio figlio invece non è stato così fortunato. Una riflessione e una preghiera per lui – ha aggiunto il padre –. Lorenzo da dov’è adesso aiuterà tutti coloro che hanno animo buono. Lui amava stare a Stabbia, sentiva che quello era il suo posto ideale».
Il fratello Leonardo, classe 2004, gioca a calcio con la maglia della Lampomeridien e sabato, il giorno dopo la tragica scomparsa, è andato a segno con la Juniores, per la commozione generale di tutti i presenti.

La società A.S.D. Montespertoli scrive sulla propria pagina Facebook: «Causa morte improvvisa per un malore scompare Lorenzo Sabatini ragazzo di 20 anni che nella stagione scorsa ha militato nell’ Asd Montespertoli, disputando il campionato di Eccellenza. In questo momento doloroso porgiamo le nostre più sentite condoglianze alla famiglia di Lorenzo ed a tutti quelli che come noi gli volevano bene. Riposa in Pace Lorenzo».
