“La gente stava recitando le preghiere della sera, quando l’IDF israeliana ha attaccato il campo profughi a Tal As Sultan a Rafah. Gli israeliani avevano detto loro che quella era una zona sicura, dove proteggere i loro figli e i loro anziani. La zona sicura era una tendopoli tra le dune, una delle dozzine sparse lungo più di 16 km lungo la costa di Gaza. Le tende erano fatte di plastica, un sottile strato di protezione contro il sole e la sabbia che si è trasformato in una trappola mortale. Quando le bombe israeliane hanno colpito la zona sicura, le tende di plastica hanno preso fuoco, fiamme alte due metri, le strutture in fusione e fiamme sono crollate sulle persone all’interno, molti dei quali bambini che erano appena stati rimboccati per la sera. Non c’era acqua per spegnere le fiamme, nessun camion dei pompieri per fermare l’inferno, nessuna ambulanza per portare i feriti in ospedale, nessun ospedale per curare gli ustionati ed i mutilati, erano già stati tutti bombardati, almeno 45 persone, la maggior parte delle quali, donne e bambini, sono stati uccisi, quasi 300 feriti da schegge, ustioni, fratture e lesioni cerebrali. L’attacco è avvenuto due giorni dopo che la Corte Internazionale di Giustizia ha ordinato a Israele di sospendere le operazioni militari a Gaza. l’IDF ha detto che non pensava che i civili sarebbero stati colpiti, quando ha bombardato il campo profughi in cui aveva detto ai civili di rifugiarsi. I suoi obiettivi erano 2 militanti di Hamas, il via libera all’attacco aereo è stato dato dal programma software israeliano di Intelligenza Artificiale che consente di uccidere venti civili non coinvolti per ogni membro giovane di Hamas e di uccidere cento civili non coinvolti in cambio di un membro anziano. Le bombe che hanno bruciato la tendopoli di Rafah sono state prodotte dalla Boeing, Biden ne ha vendute più di mille dal mese di Ottobre 2023. Dopo che le immagini si sono diffuse in tutto il Mondo, Netanyahu ha fatto un raro, anche se poco convinto tentativo di limitare i danni: è stato un tragico errore. Una volta è un errore, due volte è un errore, quindicimila volte è un genocidio! In otto mesi di guerra, Israele ha ucciso trenta volte più bambini a Gaza di quanti la Russia abbia ucciso in Ucraina in due anni e mezzo di guerra, la popolazione di Gaza è solo un diciottesimo di quella dell’Ucraina, ma invece di sanzionare Israele, Biden e Blinken hanno minacciato di sanzioni la Corte Internazionale di Giustizia. Il consigliere per la sicurezza nazionale di Biden, John Kirby, interrogato da un giornalista che ha domandato quanti altri cadaveri carbonizzati dovrà vedere prima che il Presidente consideri un cambiamento nella sua politica, Kirby ha risposto: mi offendo per la domanda. Biden si è legato volontariamente ad un regime che brucia vivi i bambini mentre dormono nelle tende in cui sono stati costretti a trasferirsi dalle persone che li hanno inceneriti, le sue linee rosse sono tracciate nel sangue dei bambini palestinesi. Dedico questo racconto alla memoria di Enrico Berlinguer e Lidia Menapace che dicevano: la pace al primo posto, fuori la guerra dalla storia, che erano contro l’esercito europeo per un’Europa di pace senza missili, dall’Atlantico agli Urali e per la Costituzione che ripudia alla guerra.”

“People were saying evening prayers when the Israeli IDF attacked the refugee camp at Tal As Sultan in Rafah. The IDF had told them that this was a safe area, where they could protect their children and their elderly. The bombs that burned the Rafah tent city were produced by Boeing, Biden has sold more than a thousand of them since October 2023. After the images spread around the world, Netanyahu made a rare, if unconvinced attempt to limit the damage: it was a tragic mistake. Once is a mistake, twice is a mistake, fifteen thousand times is genocide! In eight months of war, Israel has killed thirty times more children in Gaza than Russia has killed in Ukraine in two and a half years of war, Gaza’s population is only one eighteenth that of Ukraine, but instead of sanctioning Israel , Biden and Blinken threatened the International Court of Justice with sanctions. Biden’s national security adviser, John Kirby, questioned by a reporter who asked how many more charred corpses he will have to see before the President considers a change in his policy, Kirby replied: I take offense to the question. Biden has willingly tied himself to a regime that burns children alive as they sleep in the tents they were forced to move into by the people who incinerated them, its red lines drawn in the blood of Palestinian children. I dedicate this story to the memory of Enrico Berlinguer and Lidia Menapace who said: peace comes first, war out of history, who were against the European army for a Europe of peace without missiles, from the Atlantic to the Urals and for Constitution that repudiates war.”
