More weapons destined for use by Israel in its genocide against 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza are currently en route. Last night, Israel carried out one of its bloodiest massacres yet, in open defiance of last Friday’s explicit order by the ICJ that Israel cease its military offensive in Rafah immediately.
Israeli warplanes, funded and supplied by the US and Europe, pounded a supposed “safe area” in Rafah where forcibly displaced Palestinians slept in plastic tents, setting the entire area aflame, murdering at least 45 and injuring 100s more, mostly women and children. Many were burned alive.
As you read this the Danish vessel Marianne Danica is crossing the Mediterranean on its way to Israeli ports, bringing in more deadly weapons. The arms flow and genocide profits of the military industry are thriving. Help us to stop it now!
We must escalate pressure to stop this genocide in Gaza! Only more people power will lead to wider boycotts, divestment and lawful sanctions to force the US-Israeli genocidal axis to stop and to ultimately help us dismantle the underlying regime of oppression. La stagione 2024 si sta rivelando critica per la popolazione del Fratino, piccolo uccello presenta sulla costa teatina. Le prime osservazioni indicano un numero estremamente basso di nidificazioni lungo la costa abruzzese, addirittura inferiore rispetto alla già preoccupante stagione del 2023.

The Kentish plover (Charadrius alexandrinus), known for its delicacy and vulnerability, is facing an unprecedented crisis. The causes of this decline are multiple, including the increasing urbanization of the coasts, the erosion of the natural habitat and human disturbance during the reproductive period. The absence of adequate protection measures is further worsening the situation.

Dear Alessio, A Palestinian surgeon, Dr Al-Bursh, has died in prison while detained by Israeli forces. He was one of the doctors who stayed behind to care for wounded Palestinians in Northern Gaza, at Al Awda hospital, while thousands of people fled to seek safety in the south. [1] With news that the Al Awda hospital is once again under attack, it is vital we remind our leaders that even wars have limits: healthcare workers cannot be targeted and must be protected. [2] Next week, we will hand this petition over to the Belgian government. We want to make sure we can show that thousands of people across Europe want to free unjustly imprisoned medical staff, so they canreturn to the important job of caring for the people of Gaza.

We’ve all seen the images from the war in Gaza; wounded patients being treated on hallway floors, bleeding children in tears, and so much heartache. With these conditions, functioning hospitals and doctors are the only chance to treat the wounded and save lives. When bombing intensified over Northern Gaza, people fled to the South. But, Doctor Muhanna and his team stayed behind to keep the last hospital running and continue to treat people who had nowhere to go. [1] While these brave doctors and nurses were caring for their patients, they were abducted by Israeli forces. Even wars have limits: health-care workers can’t be targeted and must be protected.[2] Doctor Muhanna’s health team was not working in isolation. For years they’ve been financially supported by the Belgian government. [3] Together, let’s remind Belgium that they cannot abandon health care workers in Gaza when they most need our help. People’s lives, especially children’s, depend on it. The Belgian government has already spoken out for peace and humanitarian aid in Palestine. [4] And our partners believe they can negotiate Doctor Muhanna’s release. We need them to demand his release. Together, let’s make sure the Belgium government knows that thousands of people across Europe want to free Doctor Muhanna and his team. If enough Europeans raise our voices, we could make sure that he is able to return to his important job of caring for the people of Gaza.
Doctor Muhanna kept the world informed about Israeli forces’ attacks on healthcare. In his last message, he said: “No one can move in the hospital because of the [Israeli] snipers. The situation in the hospital is terrible. We have 38 patients, some of whom cannot get medicine. We have no oxygen and very little fuel for a small generator. We have food for 2-3 days at most.” [5]
Viva Salud, a non profit organisation that fights for the right to health, believes that Doctor Muhanna was taken because of what he said.
Right now, there are still health carers risking their lives to care for people in the destroyed Al-Awda hospital, with hundreds of babies having been born since the start of the war. [6] The release of Doctor Muhanna and his team would ensure adequate care in this hospital. And it sets a precedent that Israeli forces need to protect healthcare workers and hospitals.
In solidarity with care workers, together as Europeans demand that Belgium speaks up for the release of Doctor Muhanna.

Negli ultimi giorni la Terra è stata scossa da potenti tempeste geomagnetiche che hanno catturato l’attenzione degli scienziati e del pubblico. Questi eventi hanno generato spettacolari aurore boreali, ma hanno anche avuto implicazioni più profonde.
