Hamza Dahdouh, the eldest son of Al Jazeera’s Gaza bureau chief, Wael Dahdouh, has been killed by an Israeli missile strike in the western part of Khan Younis, Gaza.
Journalist Mustafa Thuraya was also killed in the attack, when the vehicle they were travelling in near al-Mawasi, a supposedly safe area towards the southwest, was struck by the missile. A third passenger, Hazem Rajab, was seriously injured.
According to reports from Al Jazeera correspondents, Hamza and Mustafa’s vehicle was targeted as they were trying to interview civilians displaced by previous bombings.

Hamza, 27, was a journalist like his father. Mustafa was also in his 20s.
Speaking from the cemetery where his son had been laid to rest, Wael seemed subdued yet resigned, saying he was one of the droves of people in Gaza today who are bidding bitter farewells to their loved ones every day.
He vowed to remain on his path of showing the world what is happening in Gaza, despite the pain of one loss after another.
“Hamza was everything to me, the eldest boy, he was the soul of my soul… these are the tears of parting and loss, the tears of humanity,” he said.
The Al Jazeera Media Network strongly condemned the attack, adding: “The assassination of Mustafa and Hamza … whilst they were on their way to carry out their duty in the Gaza Strip, reaffirms the need to take immediate necessary legal measures against the occupation forces to ensure that there is no impunity.”
Reacting to the news, Gaza’s media office condemned the killing of the two journalists, denouncing “in the strongest terms this heinous crime”.
Continuous pain
Hamza was extremely attached to his family and was devastated when he heard on October 25 that an Israeli raid had hit the house his family was sheltering at in the Nuseirat refugee camp.

Dopo aver provveduto personalmente alla stesura di questo articolo direttamente sul mio blog, annuncio che mi sono veramente stufato e veramente incazzato di continuare a vedere attacchi genocidi israeliani su una popolazione indifesa che non fa parte di uno Stato riconosciuto e che quindi non si può difendere con un proprio esercito regolare, ma soltanto con un gruppo di valorosi guerriglieri di Hamas, i componenti dell’ala armata rivoluzionaria del Movimento di Liberazione della Palestina (OLP). Per me la situazione nella Striscia di Gaza è molto grave e va particolarmente attenzionata, elevandola a stato di grave emergenza massima che mina la pace a livello internazionale, pertanto tra pochi minuti manderò una mail dettagliata al Segretario delle Nazioni Unite a New York, il portoghese Antonio Guterres ed in copia alla Corte Penale Internazionale de L’Aia in Olanda in cui richiederò formalmente quattro cose:
1. protezione totale dei civili palestinesi con l’esercito dei caschi blu dell’ONU;
2. protezione dei corridoi umanitari per impedire che Israele ci spari sopra quando i palestinesi decidono di lasciare la terra in cui vivono;
3. chiedere un cessate il fuoco immediato ed una pace immediata e permanente, perché di vedere questi scempi per un altro anno, io non ne ho alcuna intenzione!
4. L’immediata deposizione di Netanyahu dall’incarico di Primo Ministro israeliano da parte della Comunità ebraica giudea della Torah, l’emissione di un mandato di arresto internazionale o le accuse di genocidio e crimini di guerra, da estendere ai suoi ministri della Difesa e della Guerra Gallant e Gantz.
Ritengo sia un fatto molto grave che mina la pace a livello internazionale quando un’intera armata israeliana, supportata dagli americani mediante la fornitura di armi e bombe di ultima generazione NK84, lancia degli attacchi genocidi nei riguardi di persone che esercitano professioni dove si tende ad esprimere il libero pensiero come giornalisti e medici. Tutto questo non può, non deve essere accettato a livello umano, in quanto rappresenta una palese violazione dei diritti umani nel caso dei giornalisti e della Convenzione di Ginevra del 1949 che proibisce ad un esercito di qualsiasi nazionalità, di attaccare deliberamente e criminalmente ospedali e strutture sanitarie dove vi trovano rifugio civili inermi in attesa di cure mediche e curati da una categoria come quella dei medici che è la più importante del Mondo, come quella dei giornalisti. 4. The immediate deposition of Netanyahu as Prime Minister of Israel by the Jewish Torah Jewish Community, the issuance of an international arrest warrant or charges of genocide and war crimes, to be extended to his ministers of Defense and War Gallant and Gantz.
I believe it's a very serious fact that undermines peace at an international level when an entire Israeli army, supported by the Americans through the supply of latest generation NK84 weapons and bombs, launches genocidal attacks against people who practice professions where there is a tendency to express free thought as journalists and doctors.
