“All’attenzione del Ministro alla Salute Dott. Orazio Schillaci,
Buonasera signor Ministro, sono di nuovo il Dott. Alessio Brancaccio, da Vasto in provincia di Chieti, che attualmente è la peggiore provincia di tutto l’Abruzzo per numero di contagi, considerando i dati contenuti nell’ultimo Monitoraggio settimanale COVID19 dell’Istituto Superiore di Sanità, il bollettino numero 27 in uscita e relativo alla settimana 11-17 Novembre.
Come evincerà lei stesso dai dati in suo possesso, c’è stato un incremento dei contagi da COVID19 del 26% (34314 casi rispetto a 26855 della settimana precedente) e l’incidenza ogni 100 mila abitanti è passata da 46 a 58 casi ed in costante aumento, dopo la riapertura degli Istituti Scolastici e considerando l’arrivo dell’inverno sempre più alle porte. L’Rt passa da 0.83 a 0.93 anche se resta sotto la soglia pandemica. La sotto variante Omicron circolante e dominante in Italia con il 51% dei casi al momento è la Eris EG5 pertanto, alla luce delle seguenti considerazioni, la invito al più presto non solo ad accelerare le vaccinazioni dei soggetti fragili, ma a considerare fortemente e seriamente la reintroduzione dell’obbligo relativo all’uso delle mascherine FFP2 in tutti i luoghi di aggregazione al chiuso, non confinandolo soltanto a tutte le strutture sanitarie nazionali. Se vuole un mio modesto parere in merito, credo che la situazione sia destinata solo che a peggiorare, se si continuasse imperterritamente a non considerare l’adozione di tale provvedimento, considerando che quasi nessuna delle persone già vaccinate a tre dosi, non si stanno per niente recando nei centri vaccinali per sottoporsi a quarta dose di richiamo, anziani over 80 compresi, per cui temo che di questo passo cominceremo di nuovo a contare i morti per strada, soprattutto tra gli anziani over 70 ed over 80, i quali non usano affatto le mascherine né per entrare negli ospedali, in tutte le altre strutture sanitarie come ambulatori ed RSA, ma anche nelle farmacie, nei supermercati e nei bar, per non parlare di uffici pubblici, scuole, biblioteche, cinema, teatri ed altri luoghi di aggregazione pubblica.
Sono uno scienziato accademico anch’io come lei, certo magari non al suo livello, ma conosco bene il mondo universitario quasi quanto lei, dal momento che si sono romano, ma mi sono laureato in Scienze e Tecnologie per l’Ambiente nel Polo Didattico di Scienze Matematiche Fisiche e Naturali (MM.FF.NN.) di Coppito, presso l’Università degli Studi di L’Aquila che per qualità della formazione dei propri studenti, io ritengo non sia affatto seconda a quella della Sapienza di Roma o di altre università romane, senza offesa! Pur non essendo un medico che ha scritto trattati scientifici, essendo un atleta sportivo conosco molto bene il corpo umano e gli effetti che la malattia del COVID19 mi ha dato personalmente ed alla mia famiglia, pertanto ritengo che continuare ad affermare che il COVID19 ormai è endemico come un’influenza, se mi permette è soltanto da irresponsabili, perché non per tutti è stato così!
Invece di continuare a trasmettere i miei messaggi all’URP, trasformandoli in lettere morte come se fossi il seccatore seriale di turno, prenda maggiormente in considerazione i moniti che provo a lanciare alla sua attenzione da più di un anno e mezzo a questa parte in merito all’adozione delle mascherine in tutti i luoghi al chiuso, più che altro per evitare di ritrovarci con gli stessi contagi del 2022.
Piccola nota di servizio aggiuntiva: la dottoressa di base della mia famiglia qui a Vasto è assente dal suo studio per più di una settimana ed io sono certo che è pe causa del COVID19 che si è presa da uno o da entrambi i suoi bambini che sono tornati a scuola da circa poco più di due mesi.
Mi rendo perfettamente conto che il Ministro alla Salute è lei non io, le decisioni ultime spettano giustamente a lei, ma si ricordi che se io decido periodicamente di scriverle, lo faccio per cercare di garantire non soltanto la salute mia e della mia famiglia, ma anche quella dell’intera comunità vastese in cui mi trovo e dove, nel Febbraio 2022, la sotto variante Omicron BA1 del COVID19 girava come una trottola, sia tra i dipendenti pubblici del Distretto Sanitario di Base che tra gli avventizi che entravano per sostenere le prestazioni sanitarie e questo in uno stato civile che si rispetti non dovrebbe essere mai permesso, specialmente all’interno di un luogo che costituisce un Presidio territoriale di Sanità Pubblica. A prescindere dalle decisioni che prendiamo signor Ministro, la tutela della salute è sacra, perché senza di essa non esiste nient’altro!
Certo di una sua forte considerazione in merito all’adozione del provvedimento che le chiedo di reintrodurre da mesi, attendo fiducioso riscontro in merito.

If you want my modest opinion on the matter, I believe that the situation is only destined to get worse if we continue undauntedly not to consider the adoption of this measure, considering that almost none of the people already vaccinated with three doses are about to nothing by going to vaccination centers to undergo the fourth booster dose, including elderly people over 80, so I fear that at this rate we will start to count road deaths again, especially among elderly people over 70 and over 80, who do not use at all masks nor to enter hospitals, all other health facilities such as clinics and RSA, but also in pharmacies, supermarkets and bars, not to mention public offices, schools, libraries, cinemas, theaters and other places of public gathering.
I too am an academic scientist like you, certainly perhaps not at your level, but I know the university world almost as well as you, since I am Roman, but I graduated in Environmental Sciences and Technologies in the Educational Center of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences (MM.FF.NN.) of Coppito, at the University of L’Aquila which, in terms of the quality of the education of its students, I believe is in no way second to that of the Sapienza University of Rome or other Roman universities, no offense! Although I am not a doctor who has written scientific treatises, being a sports athlete I know the human body very well and the effects that the COVID19 disease has given me personally and my family, therefore I believe that continuing to affirm that COVID19 is now endemic like a flu, if you’ll allow me, it’s only irresponsible, because it hasn’t been like this for everyone! Instead of continuing to transmit my messages to the URP, turning them into dead letters as if I were the serial annoyance on duty, take more into consideration the warnings that I have been trying to bring to your attention for more than a year and a half now on this matter to the adoption of masks in all indoor places, above all to avoid finding ourselves with the same infections as in 2022. Small additional service note: my family’s primary care doctor here in Vasto is absent from her office for more than a week and I am certain that it is due to the COVID19 that she caught from one or both of her children who are returned to school just over two months ago.
I fully realize that you are the Minister of Health, not me, the final decisions rightly belong to you, but remember that if I decide periodically to write to you, I do so to try to guarantee not only my health and that of my family, but also that of the entire Vasto community in which I am and where, in February 2022, the Omicron BA1 sub-variant of COVID19 was spinning like a top, both among the public employees of the Basic Health District and among the temporary workers who came in to support the services health services and this in a self-respecting civil state should never be allowed, especially within a place that constitutes a territorial public health unit.
